​The Eagle Man Project is a long-term initiative that brings together falconry, human flight, and audiovisual storytelling, with the aim of developing a shared flight between a human pilot and a Steppe Eagle across different regions of the world, structured in progressive stages.
The project is led by Davide, a professional falconer and pilot, together with Maverik, a Steppe Eagle (Aquila nipalensis).
At its core lies the construction of a real and lasting relationship between human and raptor, used as a key to observation, study, and narrative development.
The Eagle Man Project is not conceived as a show, but as a path of exploration, research, and documentation.

Origin and Purpose
The project was born from the desire to gain a deeper understanding of the Steppe Eagle’s behavior through a direct and continuous relationship with a human partner.
Through shared flight, The Eagle Man Project aims to:

observe the eagle’s decision-making processes

study its behavior in different environments

explore the topic of migration, seeking to understand why this species, unlike many other eagles, has not expanded beyond certain geographical territories
The goal is to collect and document as much information as possible about a species currently considered at risk, contributing to its knowledge and protection.

A Different Approach
The Eagle Man Project deliberately distances itself from spectacle and fast entertainment.
Behaviors are not forced, outcomes are not staged, and performances are not predefined.
Each phase of development is progressive and respects the natural timing of the relationship between human and animal.
What emerges is observed, studied, and documented, maintaining a balance between technical expertise, responsibility, and storytelling.​
Maverik
Maverik is the heart of the project.
He is not presented as a “trained animal,” but as an individual and active participant.
His choices, timing, and reactions are central to both observation and narrative.
The project is built on respect for his decisions and on the creation of an authentic relationship, making shared flight possible without coercion.

Vision and Project Stages
The Eagle Man Project is designed as a journey made of successive stages.
The first expedition has already been structured in the Pyrenees mountain range, as a European pilot project.
This phase represents only the beginning of a broader journey that, over time, will extend to other regions and continents.
Each stage is conceived as an opportunity for study, documentation, and development, within a coherent long-term vision.

Documentation and Audiovisual Production
From its inception, the project has also been conceived as an audiovisual documentary.
We possess professional skills and technical equipment for high-quality photo and video production, capable of telling the story of the project through an authentic and cinematic language.
At the same time, The Eagle Man Project is open to dedicated partnerships in the media and production sector, with the goal of further developing a structured and in-depth documentary narrative.
